About CAPA-ACCA

Founded in 1977, the Canadian Aeronautical Preservation Association – Association Canadienne de Conservation Aeronautique (CAPA-ACCA) is a National Association of Canadian Aviation Museums and Associate Members who have come together to promote and support the preservation of aircraft, aviation history, and the retention in Canada of artifacts and material significant to Canadian Aviation.
We are a community of members who call on each other for assistance and advice on general or technical matters.

CAPA-ACCA represents 27 aeronautical museums across Canada, and its mandate is to educate Canadians about our aviation history, including the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP), a significant milestone.

The member museums have successfully delivered educational programs to the Canadian public for decades.

Museum Partnerships
As part of the Yellow Wings to Victory project, working partnerships with the member museums of CAPA-ACCA will be further developed with the goal of better educating the public about the BCATP, promoting the documentary and website, and increasing and enhancing museum visits.

Yellow Wings to Victory will also construct a common platform for the CAPA Museums to link together their expertise, resources, stories and collections in one common virtual site – allowing these institutions to overcome the challenges set by geographical separation.

CAPA Museums and Partners can utilize the web docs and video developed during the Yellow Wings To Victory production for in-museum experience enhancements, audio/smartphone/tablet technology guides, and to supplement exhibits/displays.

In future, Museum visitors will see display panels, which will guide them to the exhibit around the museum. These will be accessible via smartphone, tablet or laptop to supplement exhibits and displays.
